It began as a rebellion, a new form of dance that defied the stringent rigors of ballet, but over one hundred years it has developed some stringent rigors of its own.   Modern Dance was created to allow dancers freedom of expression, but execution of that expression demands rigorous dedication.   Usually seen in large cities like San Francisco or New York City, Modern Dance is now taking flight in Oklahoma thanks to a tenacious troupe called Perpetual Motion. The group is made up of seven young women who dared to dream that they could create a following for their dynamic dances that herald the strength, fragility and camaraderie of the human experience.  Join Gallery for a behind the scenes glimpse of the message and the mission of Perpetual Motion.
