Art is the fusion of one's experience, the elements of design and quality materials. All of this is driven by the creative idea and craftsmanship
  Glen Thomas began drawing when he was four and does not show signs of tiring of this activity. He is a prolific artist, working in both two and three-dimensional media. His favorite subject is the human portrait or figure and relishes the challenge of creating works of art in
oil, pencil, clay and bronze.
He often sculpts animals (usually horses or dogs) for discerning collectors.

In addition to creating works of art, he is also a tireless art instructor and teaches several workshops each year in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico or Colorado.
Over the years, Glen has taught hundreds of students, shaping their minds and lives with his art teachings.

Move over Indiana Jones!    Oklahoma has its own mild mannered art historian who has traveled the world and skirted the bad guys to bring home mementoes worth millions! 

 

As a private curator for Oklahoma businessmen, Jon Burris has witnessed the cultural-revolution in China and the slow emergence of the art culture in Russia.   

 

Fifteen years of work in the Middle Kingdom has given Jon access to some of the world’s most celebrated contemporary Chinese painters.   And his years in Russia taught him how to outfox the Russian mafia and use underground informants to find artists in hiding. 

 

Through it all, he nurtured his own art, photography.  He has published one book of his own photographic work in Beijing, two books on Chinese and Russian artists featuring his photographs and is finishing up two more.

 

Now, this globe trotting, book publishing, photographing Art Wrangler has turned his attention to home.  Jon Burris has just taken a job as the executive director for an Oklahoma City art gallery.  It’s a move that could impact how YOU see art in Oklahoma.
