On the Next Gallery, April 24th @ 9PM & April 29th@11AM
Have you ever wondered how someone becomes governor? A new exhibit at the Oklahoma History Center answers that question. The Exhibit, “The First Families of Oklahoma” highlights the lives of all 26 Oklahoma governors before they took office. The opening of the exhibit itself took on historic significance when all seven of the state’s living governors gathered for the unveiling. It was standing room only as state dignitaries crowded behind velvet ropes to get a glimpse of this historic meeting. Gallery gives you a front row seat to history in the making.

The Surreal Life
Come along with Gallery as we step into a world of pure imagination, as we step into the mind of one of Oklahoma’s emerging young artists. Josh Heilaman’s talent and determination to focus on his craft moved a school district to create new classes just for him. His work has been called “whimsical” and “surreal”. He calls it a glimpse into his inner life. This struggling artist uses acrylic paints and just about any sort of “canvas” he can find to create a new environment with seas, forests and cities, all populated with creatures of whimsy and while some might not “get it”, his work is gaining recognition and paying customers. Find out what it’s like to try and make it
as a non-traditional artist in Oklahoma
